I'd passed by this shop on a stroll and their menu caught my eye. They served mille crepe with durian filling, and as a fan of Durian, I can't give up the opportunity to see if it lives up to my expectations. I ordered a bowl of century egg porridge and a slice of the durian mille crepe just to gauge the food here. When the food arrived though, I'd gotta say the presentation was abit disappointing. But looks were certainly deceiving. Once I'd started digging into the porridge, I was continously scooping the porridge into my mouth. It's not the best century egg porridge I've had, but it's pretty delicious for a cold weathered day. The durian was my next target. Presentation wise it was meh and abit bland. But to my delight — I'm blown away by the first bite! The durian mille crepe delivered to my expectations and more. It's no Musang King or Red Prawn durian, but it's a delicious durian nonetheless. The filling is a mixture of cream and durian flesh where the latter's texture is still preserved. The crepe itself is also way over my expectations. It's so thin that I can cut through the cake with just a spoon, and I'm barely using any force to cut the cake. Perhaps I'm making a fuss over nothing, and that I'm missing my comfort foods from home (Malaysia 🇲🇾). Eitherway, I had a satisfying meal here, and I'd definitely recommend the place to my European colleagues.
